www.StopBadTherapy.com is a volunteer effort and we can use as little or
as much time as you have to offer. Currently, we're looking for the following
assistance:

phone
list maintainers - really easy and takes little time! - we're looking
for one volunteer in each state to keep that state's list of regulatory
board phone numbers up to date. This just involves tracking down any
missing numbers and then calling the numbers once every six months to make
sure they're still valid.

clipping researchers - really easy and takes little time! - we
need people to (1) find relevant newspaper and magazine articles about
False Memory Syndrome and the myths of memory repression, memory recovery,
and satanic ritual abuse, and (2) get permission from the publisher to
host the articles on this web site

typists
- do you have email? We need people to type in printed newspaper articles
for hosting online. If you can read, hunt and peck, and send by email what you typed, you can help out!

HTML page editors
- do you have email? can you edit HTML pages with a text editor, Netscape Composer, or another
HTML editor?We need people to help edit and maintain the pages of this site.

board liaisons - we're looking for a licensing board liaison
in each state to get a copy of the laws and rules for each regulatory board
in that state and determine each state's status on issues like immunity
from suit for complaints to regulatory boards, etc. (Be sure to tell us which state you live in
and provide a contact phone number and email address, plus a fax number if you have one.)

legislative coordinators - we're looking for a legislative coordinator
in each state to find out and keep track
of the positions of state officials on the Truth and Responsibility in
Mental Health Practices Act and to coordinate targeted follow-up mailing campaigns
and questioning of legislators at their town hall meetings (Be sure to tell us which state you live in
and provide a contact phone number and email address, plus a fax number if you have one.)

attorneys
- we're looking for a few attorneys knowledgeable in libel law to review
the site and occasionally review new site content from a libel standpoint
(California bar certified would be ideal, but not required)

accountants
- we're looking for one or more accountants to handle incorporation of
nonprofit organization status for the site and file annual tax returns
for the nonprofit (California practice would be ideal, but not required)
